  • Engineered, supported and maintained a Windows Server/Active Directory/CentOS (RedHat) Linux infrastructure of approximately 400 servers across three data centers. This infrastructure ran the company's GeoMaestro and GeoExpress online learning management systems, learning content management system, and extended enterprise solutions.

  • Supported and maintained IBM blade server architecture for four data centers in the United States and Canada, consisting of approximately 400 individual blades.

  • Supported and maintained NetApp SAN architecture requring 24x7 “five nines” uptime. This included redundancy across multiple data centers and backups (on-site, to tape, and off-site).

  • Supported and maintained VMware architecture requring 24x7 “five nines” uptime. This included redundancy across multiple data centers and backups (on-site, to tape, and off-site).

  • Engineered and supported new Linux server solutions for a wide variety of online business processes requiring 24x7 “four nines” uptime. This included redundancy across multiple data centers; server clustering; load balancing via Cisco hardware; and backups (both on- and off-site).

  • Engineered and supported MySQL database server architecture for 24x7, “five nines” online business operations. This included redundancy across multiple data centers; server clustering; load balancing; disaster preparedness and recovery; and backups (both on- and off-site).

  • Engineered and supported a wide variety of networking in a Cisco environment, including Internet connectivity (routing, switching, and firewalling); internal data center connectivity (LAN, VLAN, firewalls); corporate office connectivity; Cisco VPN (both individual and site-to-site).

  • Engineered and supported the company's transition to Google Apps Premiere rather than internal solutions.

  • Engineered and supported the company's push into mobile applications, both for iPhone and Android (known internally as “Mr.Droid” and was the first point of consultation on the Android platform).

  • Created custom RPM packages for internal server installations and software deployment.

  • Provided third-tier support to clients and vendors for the company's Maestro e-learning platform.
